This year, the Maldives Internet Governance Forum (MVIGF) takes an important step forward by hosting two events together — the National IGF and, for the very first time, the Youth IGF Maldives.

The National IGF continues to serve as the country’s key multi-stakeholder platform, bringing together government, private sector, civil society, academia, and the technical community to discuss pressing issues around internet governance, digital security, and innovation.

The Youth IGF Maldives, making its debut this year, is designed to empower adolescents and youth by giving them a seat at the table. It amplifies young voices, ensuring they are part of shaping policies and ideas that will define our digital future.

By bringing these two platforms together, MVIGF 2025 aims to bridge generations, foster collaboration, and create a stronger, more inclusive digital ecosystem for the Maldives.
